The collaboration for pastoral ministry between the provinces of Zaragoza and Madrid, Spain, and the Southern Indian Province began in 2007. So far eight confreres have joined the mission in Spain; some for fulltime ministry and others for some specific period during or/and after their higher studies in Spain.
The Indian confreres in Spain engage in different pastoral dynamics in collaboration with the Vincentian communities over there. They celebrate the Eucharist for DC and other Religious Congregations and in parishes, assist in the CM prison ministry and hospital chaplaincy, collaborate in the religious, pastoral, social and youth ministries of the CM and other Religious Congregations, represent the CM in the diocesan, interdiocesan, zonal and national gatherings of Youth, conduct pastoral orientation programmes in schools and higher education institutions, assist the family pilgrim groups, prepare children for sacraments, provide pastoral and spiritual assistance to the elderly, the bedridden and the differently abled as well as assist at Popular Mission and Vincentian Family groups like the Vincentian Marian Youth, Miraculous Medal Association, Vincentian Ladies of Charity and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
