Welcome to Southern Indian Province.

The Congregation of the Mission is a society of apostolic life, composed of priests and lay brothers, founded by Saint Vincent de Paul in Paris on April 17, 1625. The members of this Congregation are known as Paules in Spain, Lazarists in France, and Vincentians in other countries. Our mission is to follow Jesus Christ, evangelizing the poor. Read more


The various activities organized by the Province

In line with the social commitment of the province and the preferential option for the poor that it tries to emulate in all the ministries, the various activities taken up by the Southern Indian province in connection with the Covid 19 are as follows:

  1. Distribution of Masks
  2. Community kitchens
  3. Disinfectant Tunnels
  4. Distribution of food materials
  5. Contribution towards the PM Relief Fund and CM Relief Fund
  6. Several Spiritual Activities

Dear Confreres,
Greetings from Mysore. Considering the opinions of many of you we have made some changes in the annual retreat schedule.
The first batch of retreat is moved closer to the Provincial Assembly so as to facilitate the delegates of the Assembly to participate in it and avoid the risk of two travels to Mysore. As per the new schedule the, the first batch of retreat begins on 11 October evening and ends on 16 afternoon. The second batch begins on 30th October (evening) and ends on 4th November afternoon. Provincial Assembly is from 5th to 10th November. Sorry for the inconvenience caused due to this change.

Great aim of our education is to bring out of the child who comes into our hands all his abilities, his powers, his capacities. South Indian Province directly empowers more than 8500 children through our educational institutions.

Social Empowerment

Social empowerment is understood as the process of developing a sense of autonomy and self-confidence, and acting individually and collectively to change social relationships. Vincentians of south province carry out this in three different wings.

Our Parish Mission

Almost 400 years ago St. Vincent de Paul founded the Congregation of the Mission also knows as Vincentians to lead catholic parishes in mission and renewal. Today south Indian Province serve in 22 parishes in India.
